Legal Notice

Last updated: August 2026 — Version: 1.0

This legal notice is published in accordance with the French Act No. 2004-575 of 21 June 2004 on confidence in the digital economy (LCEN), which requires every website operated by a French company to identify its publisher and host. It applies to the website Jokaya and all services offered on it.

1. Website Publisher

  • Company name: Canopia
  • Legal form: Société par actions simplifiée (SAS) organized under French law
  • Share capital: as stated in the company's current registration with the French Trade and Companies Register
  • Registration (SIRET): 89273308000014
  • Registered office: 191 avenue de l'étang 40000 Mont de marsan, France
  • Contact: contact@canopia.cloud

Intra-community VAT number and RCS registration details are available on request at contact@canopia.cloud.

2. Publication Director

The director of publication (directeur de la publication) is the legal representative of Canopia, in their capacity as President of the company. The publication director can be contacted through contact@canopia.cloud or by post at the registered office address above.

3. Hosting Provider

The website is hosted by:

  • Host: DigitalOcean
  • Address: Zekerinstrat 17A1014 AM Amsterdam

The host's contact details are provided here to satisfy Article 6 of the LCEN. Requests concerning content published on this site should be addressed to the publisher, not the host, in the first instance.

4. Nature of the Service

Jokaya is a rewards platform on which users can complete offers from third-party advertisers in exchange for credits redeemable for gift cards. The contractual terms governing the service are set out in the Terms of Service, the Rewards & Payment Policy, the Prohibited Conduct policy, and the Referral Program Terms. The processing of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy and the Cookie Policy.

5. Intellectual Property

The structure, design, text, graphics, logos, and software making up this website are the property of Canopia or its licensors and are protected by French and international intellectual property law. Any reproduction, representation, modification, or adaptation of all or part of the site without prior written authorization is prohibited, except for private use or where otherwise permitted by mandatory law. Trademarks and brand names of advertisers and gift card merchants displayed on the site belong to their respective owners; their presence indicates a commercial relationship or catalog availability, not endorsement.

6. Reporting Illegal Content

In accordance with the LCEN, anyone may report content on this site they consider illegal by writing to contact@canopia.cloud with: the date of the report, your identity and contact details, a precise description and location of the disputed content, the legal grounds for the report, and, where applicable, a copy of any correspondence with the author of the content. Knowingly abusive reports are punishable under French law.

7. Personal Data and Privacy

Canopia is the data controller for personal data processed through this website. The full description of processing activities, legal bases, recipients, retention periods, and your rights — under both the GDPR and applicable US state privacy laws — is set out in the Privacy Policy. Data protection requests can be sent to contact@canopia.cloud. You may lodge a complaint with the CNIL (www.cnil.fr), the French supervisory authority.

8. Availability and Liability

We strive to keep the website available and accurate, but we do not warrant uninterrupted access or the absence of errors. The site may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, updates, or reasons beyond our control. The publisher's liability in connection with the use of the service is governed by the Terms of Service, within the limits permitted by applicable law. Hypertext links on this site may point to third-party websites, including advertiser sites; the publisher exercises no control over their content and accepts no liability for it.

9. Consumer Disputes and Mediation

If you are a consumer and a dispute with us has not been resolved through our support channels, French law (Articles L.612-1 et seq. of the French Consumer Code) entitles consumers to refer the dispute free of charge to a consumer mediator. The contact details of the mediation body designated by Canopia are available on request at contact@canopia.cloud. Recourse to mediation is optional and does not deprive you of the right to bring the matter before a court. Users residing in the United States retain, in addition, any dispute-resolution rights granted by the mandatory consumer-protection laws of their state, as stated in the Terms of Service. In all cases, contacting contact@canopia.cloud first is the fastest path: we acknowledge formal complaints within 7 days and answer on the merits within 30 days.

10. Accessibility

We aim to make Jokaya usable by everyone, including people using assistive technologies. The site is built with semantic HTML, sufficient color contrast in its dark theme, keyboard-navigable interfaces, and text alternatives for meaningful images. Accessibility is an ongoing effort rather than a finished state: if you encounter a page or feature that is difficult to use with your equipment, report it to contact@canopia.cloud with the page address and a description of the problem, and we will treat it as a defect to be fixed, not as feedback to be filed away.

11. Applicable Law

This legal notice is governed by French law. The courts within the jurisdiction of the publisher's registered office have jurisdiction over disputes relating to this notice, subject to mandatory rules granting jurisdiction to other courts, in particular those protecting consumers in their place of residence.

12. Contact

For any question about the website, its content, or this notice: contact@canopia.cloud, or by post to Canopia, 191 avenue de l'étang 40000 Mont de marsan, France.
